We are Burdekin.
Burdekin is an independent not-for-profit organisation that works with young people and their families in the community, to prevent youth homelessness, provide safe housing and support wellbeing.
We provide a continuum of care for young people and their families through an integrated approach to intervention, support, and housing.
Burdekin brings nearly 40 years of proven experience working with young people.
Youth services
We believe every young person has the right to feel safe and supported as they grow.

Helping whole families to build on strengths, reduce conflict and find solutions to challenges before you reach crisis point.
Out-of-home care
Facilitating safe, stable, and nurturing environments for young people referred by DCJ to thrive.
General advice & support
Supporting young people transitioning from out-of-home care youth services as they develop skills for independent living.
Community outreach
We identify gaps in community youth services, to ensure appropriate support and intervention for young people at risk of homelessness.
